Eleanor Dale Born: October 5, 1935 Died: March 9, 2025 in Sterling, IL Eleanor Ann Dale, age 89 of Sterling IL passed away at the Citadel Nursing Home on Friday March 7, 2025. She was born in a farm home Oct 5, 1935 south of Duncombe Iowa, the daughter of Leanord and Mildred (Lande) Jacobson. Eleanor graduated from Webster City Iowa high school, where she was a cheerleader and Homecoming Queen. She also attended the Lutheran Bible Institute in Minneapolis MN. Eleanor was united in marriage on April 8 1957 to Harold P Dale of Sterling IL and they have spent the next 67 years happily together. She spent the early years of their marriage as a homemaker and faithfully mothered her children. After the children were grown, she worked at the Sterling YWCA, and was employed as a home care worker for Tri County Opportunity Council.
