Arthur G. Barnhart Born: April 20, 1940 in Washington DC Died: August 12, 2024 in Sterling, IL Arthur G. Barnhart, 84, of Rock Falls passed away at Allure of Sterling on August 12, 2024. He was born April 20, 1940 in Washington DC and married Ruth Kunde in 1987 in Sterling. Arthur proudly served in the Air Force and was stationed in Okinawa where he was a mechanic and worked on B 52s and C130s during the Vietnam War. He graduated from American University in Maryland and attended Frostburg State University in Maryland where he received his master's degree in finance. He worked for the IRS for a couple years, then was Chief Fiscal Officer for 26 years at Hagerstown Community College in Maryland before retiring. Arthur loved to travel and took many road trips with his wife in his corvette and motorhome. They have been in all 50 states, has taken a number of cruises with the riverboat cruise in Germany being his favorite. He is survived by his wife, daughters, Susan (Floyd) Morrow of Lagu
