Roy Steven Chavez Born: August 28, 1982 Died: August 11, 2024 Roy Steven Chavez, 41 of Sterling died suddenly, Sunday August 11, 2024 at CGH Medical Center. He was born on August 28, 1982 in Sterling the son of Roy G. Chavez and Yolanda Cavazos. He attended Sterling Schools. He was a loving and caring son, brother and uncle. His Family was very important to him. He enjoyed, cooking, dancing, listening to his Mexican music and hanging out with his friends. Survivors include his mother, Yolanda; sisters: Candida Cavazos (Johnny Humbert) and Rachel Cavazos (Henry Harris); brothers: David Cavazos and Mark Anthony Cavazos; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins; and special friend Manuel Losoya. He was preceded in death by his father. Visitation will be held on Friday August 16, 2024 from 2-4 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home, 1002 12th Avenue in Rock Falls, followed by a brief service officiated by the Reverend Carlos Monsalve, from St. Mary Catholic Church.
