Michelle L. Wiersema Born: April 27, 1974 in Sterling, IL Died: July 1, 2024 in Sterling, IL STERLING – Michelle L. Wiersema, age 50, died at home Monday July 1, 2024 following an extended illness. Michelle was born on April 27, 1974, in Sterling the daughter of Kenneth and Barbara (Thompson) Wiersema. She was employed for over 20 years as a Registered Nurse at CGH Medical Center in Sterling. Michelle was a painter and enjoyed making crafts. She was an avid dog lover as well. Survivors include two sisters, Addie (Jason) Pace and Amy (Randy) Reed both of Sterling. Nieces and nephews, Ashley (Dylan) Jones, Joseph Romero, Emily Romero, Taylor Reed and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Friday, July 5, 2024, at the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls.
