Anning, 93, of St. Paul, Minnesota, formerly of Sterling, Illinois, died on Friday, June 14, 2024, at Regions Hospital of St, Paul, MN. Rita was born on June 6, 1931, in Sterling, Illinois, the daughter of Joseph and Leah (Jaquet) Boone. She married John Anning on August 17, 1957, in Sterling, Illinois. He preceded her in death on April 12, 2006. Rita is a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Sterling. She enjoyed gardening, volunteering for funeral luncheons, attending municipal band concerts, and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by two daughters, Claire Kelly Andersson of Mexico, Christine Anning of St. Paul, MN; one son, Mark (Lee) Anning of Tonica, IL; her loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.
